Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights connecting Nha Trang and Seoul on March 25.
The new route is an important step under the trade and tourism promotion cooperation between the national flag carrier and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, which began in October 2017.
Using Airbus A321 aircraft, there will be four flights each week. The five-hour flight departs from Cam Ranh International Airport at 9.35pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, while flights from Seoul’s Incheon Airport will take off at 6.20am on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday (all local times).
Vietnam Airlines will offer a special promotion to mark the opening of the new route, with return tickets purchased from now to April 30 costing from VND5.29 million ($230) (excluding fees and taxes) for flights departing between March 25 and April 30. Gold Lotus members flying on the route from March 25 to April 25 will also earn between 1,000 to 2,000 bonus miles.
This is the fourth direct flight launched by Vietnam Airlines linking Vietnam with Seoul, joining Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang flights.
Nha Trang boasts many famous beaches and favorable weather all year around. Incheon Airport is the largest in South Korea and is a major hub for flights in East Asia.
Vietnam ranks third in regards to average weekly passenger arrivals at Incheon Airport, according to the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation.
