More than 1,000 roses will be on display at the Bulgaria Rose Festival with Friends at Hanoi’s West Lake Water Park from March 8 to 11 to mark the 68th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
This second holding of the festival, organized by the Embassy of Bulgaria in Vietnam and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, features some 100 different varieties of roses imported from Bulgaria. Rose garden owners in northern Vietnam have also been invited to present Vietnamese roses that are dozens of years old as well as bonsai roses.
Visitors will also see a rose street, a rose house, and a European garden.
The four-day festival will feature artistic activities such as exhibitions of Vietnamese ao dai and traditional Bulgarian clothing, a ‘Queen of the Rose’ beauty contest, a contest for the most beautiful rose, rose dancing, a rose parade, music and food, and magic acts, creating a nostalgic atmosphere for Bulgarians studying, working, or living in the capital.
Tickets are VND120,000 ($5.3) per person.
